Psalm 15 The Message

A David Psalm

15 God, who gets invited
    to dinner at your place?
How do we get on your guest list?
“Walk straight,
    act right,
        tell the truth.
3-4 “Don’t hurt your friend,
    don’t blame your neighbor;
        despise the despicable.
“Keep your word even when it costs you,
    make an honest living,
        never take a bribe.
“You’ll never get
blacklisted
if you live like this.”

For Reflection
Have you ever wondered how you are perceived by others?   By what are you known?  How can you control your reputation?

Well, you can't control your reputation.  You can't control what another thinks of you.  All you can control is yourself.  If you have lived a righteous life, you can feel satisfied that you have been an obedient servant of God.  God's judgment is merciful.  God's judgment is all that really matters.

Pray
that you will live the righteous path God has chosen for you.  Pray that you will be disciplined in God's grace.
